MOUNT BLANCHARD — Errors cost the Riverdale softball team in a big way Saturday as it dropped a pair of games. The Falcons (8-3) allowed four unearned runs combined as they lost to Marion Pleasant 1-0 and Upper Sandusky 4-2.

Kenton lost to St. Marys 3-2 in a Western Buckeye League tennis match Friday.

The Kroger Crusaders Relay for Life Team will be having a fish/chicken fry on Friday, April 24 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Jolene's Cozy Cafe in Kenton.

The Kenton softball got its bats going early on Friday, plating nine runs in the first inning on the way to a 12-2 five inning Western Buckeye League victory over St. Marys.

ST. MARYS — Derek Jay and Joe Pfenning combined on a three-hitter as St. Marys blanked Kenton 4-0 in Western Buckeye League baseball action on Friday night.

DUNKIRK — Micheala Curtis tossed a two-hitter as Hardin Northern blasted Vanlue 14-0 in five innings in a non-league softball game on Friday afternoon.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton jumped on top of Upper Scioto Valley with five runs in the first inning and pulled away from there on the way to a 14-4 victory over the Rams in a non-league baseball game on Friday afternoon.

DOLA — Vanlue scored 11 runs in the first inning and coasted from there on the way to a 14-3 victory over Hardin Northern in a non-league baseball game on Friday.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Getting two outs was not a problem for the Riverdale baseball team on Thursday afternoon. Finding a way to get the third out proved to be difficult however as Kenton scored a combined 12 unearned runs with two outs in the third and sixth innings on the way to a 13-2 six-inning victory over the Falcons.
