McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley and Hardin Northern split a dual track meet on Monday afternoon. The Ram boys won all but two events on the way to a 108-20 victory, while the Lady Polar Bears edged USV 70-62.

BASCOM — Janessa Taylor hit a grand slam in the first inning for Riverdale as the Falcons came away with a 13-2 win in six innings against Hopewell-Loudon in Blanchard Valley Conference softball Monday.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning Monday to earn a 2-1 extra-inning baseball victory over Lima Temple Christian.

Sydney Boling pitched a four-hitter as Kenton defeated Allen East 5-0 in a non-conference softball game on Monday afternoon.

ADA — Waynesfield-Goshen and Ada had one combined hit when Ada freshman Aaron Everhart stepped to the plate in the bottom of the seventh.

ADA — Waynesfield-Goshen scored a run in the top of the first inning Monday to take the lead over Ada in non-conference softball.

NORTH LEWISTOWN — Darian Rockhold had a first inning grand slam to spark the Ben Logan softball team on the way to an 8-2 win over Indian Lake on Monday in a game that was halted in the sixth inning due to rain.

BELLEFONTAINE — Kenton took a big lead Saturday over Ben Logan in non-conference softball and then had to hold on. The Wildcats (2-2) scored five runs in the top of the fourth to take an 8-2 lead and survived a Ben Logan rally for a 10-8 victory.

DUNKIRK — North Baltimore plated two runs in the third inning to take the lead and then held on the rest of the way for a 2-1 victory over Hardin Northern in non-league softball Saturday.
