BELLEFONTAINE — Nick Brown pitched four innings of one-hit ball Wednesday and Ben Logan’s offense did plenty to back him up as the Raiders defeated Ridgemont 13-0.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Shelby McKamey hit a walkoff two-run triple for Riverdale on Wednesday. But instead of just getting the victory, it gave the Falcons a run-shortened win in the bottom of the fifth inning.

MARYSVILLE — The Kenton tennis team won all three singles matches to edge Marysville 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

BELLEFONTAINE — Tahlsa Bowshier led off the bottom of the first inning with an inside-the-park home run to left field. Ben Logan (2-0) built on that strong start, plating four more runs that inning and putting the game away with 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth for a 17-0 run-shortened victory over Ridgemont.

ADA — After falling behind early, Hardin Northern scored three runs in the third inning and added three more in the fifth to pull away for a 6-2 victory over Ada in a non-league softball matchup on Wednesday afternoon.

The Kenton baseball team suffered its first setback of the season on Wednesday afternoon, falling to Indian Lake 12-4 in a non-conference matchup.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Leipsic scored multiple runs in each of the last five innings it batted as the Vikings outslugged Riverdale 14-9 in a Blanchard Valley Conference baseball contest on Wednesday.

NORTH LEWISTOWN — The Ada girls track team won 11 events to win a tri meet with Upper Scioto Valley and Indian Lake on Tuesday night.

ADA — Ada scored 11 runs in the first inning and cruised from there on the way to a 13-1 victory over Hardin Northern in a Hardin County baseball matchup on Wednesday.

After Elgin took a 3-2 lead on Kenton in the top of the sixth inning on Tuesday, the Wildcats knew they had to start swinging their bats. And that is exactly what the Wildcats did as they rallied for five runs in the bottom half of the inning
