Elida defeated Kenton 4-1 in a Western Buckeye League tennis match on Monday night. The only victory for the Wildcats was from Mykaela Schriber at No. 1 singles. Schriber swept Elida’s Ava Long 6-0, 6-0.

CENTERVILLE — The Ben Logan girls golf team shot a 345 to finish 13th of 16 teams at Lady Elks Invitational at Yankee Trace Golf Course on Monday. Mailiis Simovart carded a 76 to lead the Raiders, while Sydney Wesson added a 79. Leeah Valentine chipped in with a 93, Gabrielle Schmidt had a 97 and Willow Titus a 111.

Bath got past Kenton 197-204 in a Western Buckeye League boys golf match at Memorial Park Golf Course on Monday afternoon. Trey Jeffries shot a 48 to lead Kenton. He was followed by Carson James with a 50 and Ethan Wirbel and Luke Hites, who both chipped in with 53s.

OSTRANDER — The Ben Logan boys golf team defeated North Union at Mill Creek 165-222 on Monday afternoon. Ethan Ricketts led the way for the Raiders with a 39. He was followed by Alex Naragon with a 41. Other scores were, Bryce Loomis 42, Jacob Mitchell 43, Aiden Elsass 48 and Trey Allen rounded out the varsity with a 51.

MILLER CITY — Ada received a pair of goals from Jacob Poling on the way to a 3-3 tie with Miller City in a boys soccer matchup on Monday night. Skyler Williams added a goal and an assist and Isaac Spar had a pair of assists for the Bulldogs, who are now 0-1-1.

BLUFFTON — Host Bluffton swept Riverdale 25-20, 25-20, 25-17 in a non-league volleyball matchup on Monday night. Grace Wetherill had 7 kills, 2 blocks and 3 aces to lead the way for the Falcons.

BELLEFONTAINE — Benjamin Logan Middle School volleyball teams swept North Union on Monday night. The seventh grade Lady Raiders won in two sets 25-8 and 25-8.

After a couple of productive trips to Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie, the Trophy Bassmasters headed back to their home waters of Indian Lake for a mid summer contest. The 13 anglers found what is expected on an inland lake in Ohio in the heat of the summer, tough conditions, as only 33 keeper bass of at least 12 inches were brought in following the eight-hour day. Total weight for the club was just 46.88 pounds.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Kenton girls soccer team started its season off with a 6-1 win over Ben Logan on Saturday. Addison Modd and Avery Smith had two goals each to lead the Wildcat attack, while Hanna Holland and Gabi Wetherill both chipped in with one tally.
