Jeffries paces KHS golfers

Bath got past Kenton 197-204 in a Western Buckeye League boys golf match at Memorial Park Golf Course on Monday afternoon. Trey Jeffries shot a 48 to lead Kenton. He was followed by Carson James with a 50 and Ethan Wirbel and Luke Hites, who both chipped in with 53s.

Raiders score 165 in win over North Union

OSTRANDER — The Ben Logan boys golf team defeated North Union at Mill Creek 165-222 on Monday afternoon. Ethan Ricketts led the way for the Raiders with a 39. He was followed by Alex Naragon with a 41. Other scores were, Bryce Loomis 42, Jacob Mitchell 43, Aiden Elsass 48 and Trey Allen rounded out the varsity with a 51.

Ada, Miller City play to tie

MILLER CITY — Ada received a pair of goals from Jacob Poling on the way to a 3-3 tie with Miller City in a boys soccer matchup on Monday night. Skyler Williams added a goal and an assist and Isaac Spar had a pair of assists for the Bulldogs, who are now 0-1-1.

Trophy Bassmasters meet with tough conditions on Indian Lake

After a couple of productive trips to Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie, the Trophy Bassmasters headed back to their home waters of Indian Lake for a mid summer contest. The 13 anglers found what is expected on an inland lake in Ohio in the heat of the summer, tough conditions, as only 33 keeper bass of at least 12 inches were brought in following the eight-hour day. Total weight for the club was just 46.88 pounds.
