SPENCERVILLE — The Ridgemont Gophers split a pair of matches in Saturday’s tri-match at Spencerville, defeating Perry 25-21, 25-22 but falling to Spencerville 25-15, 25-15. Gophers coach Darcy Ruppright said she’s glad for her team to get its first win of the season.

CASSTOWN — The Ben Logan girls golf team finished first with a 337 in the Miami East Invitational at Lakeland Golf Course. The Raiders were led by senior Mailiis Simovart, who shot a career low one over par 73 to earn medalist honors for the second year in a row in the tournament.

FORT RECOVERY — The Benjamin Logan volley team opened the season with a tri-match split on Saturday, first falling to host Fort Recovery 25-13, 25-16 but then earning its first win against Springfield 25-14, 25-20. The matches give the Raiders a mark of 1-1 to begin the year.

CELINA — Kierra Krohmer was 4th of 61 runners in a time of 21:00 to lead the Kenton girls cross country team at the Celina Invitational on Saturday. The Kenton girls were third of eight teams with 76 points.

ATTICA — Aidan Gatchel led the way for Hardin Northern as she finished 47th of 277 runners and the Polar Bears were 22nd of 27 teams in the white division at the Secneca East Cross Country Classic on Saturday. Gatchel finished in a time of 18:51.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — A hat trick by Coby Miller helped lead the Riverdale Falcons to a 9-0 victory over Miller City on Saturday. Miller was joined in the goal scoring by Logan Frey and Drew Frey, who scored two goals each, and Tyler Hart and Mitchell O’Flaherty.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Hannah Breidenbach netted the winning goal just before the midway point of the second half as the Riverdale girls soccer team defeated Continental 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Callie Sudlow had the assist on Breidenbach’s goal which came at the 23:07 mark of the second half.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan and Fairbanks tied 1-1 in a boys soccer matchup on Saturday afternoon. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Raiders tied the score when Caleb Epp scored off a pass from Gaven Jones in the first minute of the second half.

ADA — Jacob Poling had two goals and Isaac Williams added a goal and an assist to lead Ada to a 4-1 boys soccer victory over Spencerville on Saturday. Skylar Williams added a goal and Isaac Spar had an assist in the win.
