Tommy Mustain and Maddux McFarlin competed in the Dave Staley Aquathlon and Youth Splash and Dash was held in Delaware at Minho Park on Saturday. Mustain (left) completed a 200 meter swim and 1 mile run in a time of 12:01. He was in the 11-15 year old age division.

The Kenton boys golf team picked up a pair of wins on Monday at Memorial Park Golf Course, defeating Pandora-Gilboa and Riverdale. The Wildcats, led by Trey Jeffries’ 40, shot a team score of 179. Ethan Wirbel and Lucas Hites added 46s and Noah Ketcham contributed with a 47.

MARYSVILLE — The Ben Logan boys golf team dropped a match to Fairbanks Monday 165-183 at Darby Creek. For the Raiders Ethan Ricketts led the way with a 41 followed by Alex Naragon with a 44. Other scores were Trey Allen with a 48 and Jacob Mitchell and Aiden Elsass with 52s. Bryce Loomis rounded out the varsity with a 56.

The weekly winner in the Tuesday Senior League at Memorial Park Golf Course was Lanny Dillon. Second place went to Karl McNeal and there was a three-way tie for third between Mike Fink, Norm Newman and Marv Sallee. There is no change in the overall leadership with Norm Newman leading, Doug Camper second and Doug Roberts third.

The Kenton football team opened the playing portion of its schedule with a scrimmage against Lima Senior on Saturday. Above, Landon Rush stretches to make a catch, while at the right a pair of Wildcat players combine to make a tackle as the Kenton coaching staff looks on.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Upper Sandusky defeated Kenton 229-253 in a high school girls golf match on Friday morning. Eden Cronley shot a 57 to lead the Wildcats.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan boys golf team continued its solid play to start the season and finished second Thursday in the Ryan Reynolds tourney at Liberty Hills. St Marys came out on top with a 334 followed by Ben Logan at 349, Bellefontaine with a 359, Tecumseh at 363, Indian Lake with a 368, Shawnee at 373 and Vandalia Butler with a 402.

The Kenton High School boys soccer team held its alumni game this past Saturday with over 30 players returning for the game.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan boys golf team finished second Wednesday in the Central Buckeye Conference preseason tourney at Liberty Hills. Graham came out on top with a 334, followed by Ben Logan at 352, Indian Lake with a 365, Urbana with a 366 and Northwestern with a 392.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Upper Sandusky defeated Kenton 189-197 in a season-opening dual golf match on Tuesday afternoon. Trey Jeffries carded a 43 to lead the Wildcats. He was followed by Carson James with a 47, and Lucas Hites and Ethan Wirbel with 53s.
