USV-Ada contest rescheduled

McGUFFEY — The Upper Scioto Valley vs. Ada football game scheduled for last night was cancelled due to lightning. The game has been rescheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. Everyone attending will be admitted for free.

Hannah Holland scored the game-winning goal with 29 seconds left in the game to lift Kenton to a 4-3 win over Wapakoneta in Western Buckeye League girls soccer action on Thursday. The goal came on a rush from the right flank in which Holland got past a Wapakoneta defender and snuck the ball past a diving Wapakoneta keeper before putting the ball into the empty met.

SIDNEY — Lehman Catholic swept Hardin Northern in a Northwest Central Conference volleyball match 25-22, 25-16, 25-12 on Thursday night. Alex Jackson had 7 kills and 5 blocks and Renee Newton had 6 kills and 2 blocks to lead the Hardin Northern attack.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan and Jackson Center tied 1-1 in a non-league boys soccer match on Thursday afternoon. Trailing 1-0 after a penalty kick by Jackson Center five minutes into the game, Dylan Welch tied the game when he scored off an assist from Caleb Epps with 12 minutes left in the second half.
