RIDGEWAY — Austin Elsasser had an RBI double in the fourth inning to account for Ridgemont’s lone run in a 7-1 loss to Perry in Northwest Central Conference baseball action on Wednesday. Cole McKinley added a double and Troy Cameron singled for the Gophers.

DOLA — Fairbanks took control early and then closed out the game with 12 runs in the top of the fifth inning on the way to a 21-0 victory over Hardin Northern in a non-league baseball game on Wednesday. Connor Pack had three hits with a pair of doubles and four RBIs to lead the Panthers at the plate. Jaeden Eickhoff and Braxton Wilhelm added four hits and three RBIs each.

McGUFFEY — Allen East plated seven runs in the first inning and Brandon Crumrine tossed a three-hitter on the mound as the Mustangs defeated Upper Scioto Valley 10-1 in a non-league baseball game on Wednesday afternoon. Allen East’s first four batters of the game reached base and USV had two errors defensively as the Mustangs were able to take control of the game early on against Ram pitcher JJ Overs.

LARUE — Elgin defeated Kenton 16-5 in a seventh grade baseball game on Tuesday. Luke Leffler had two hits to lead Kenton at the plate.

RIDGEWAY — The Ridgemont girls track team was third and the Gopher boys were fourth in a quad meet that included North Union, Vanlue and Cardington-Lincoln. North Union won the boys meet with 116 points, followed by Cardington -Lincoln with 46.5, Vanlue with 40 and Ridgemont with 26.5.

BELLEFONTAINE — The host Ben Logan boys and girls track teams claimed championships in the Logan County track meet on Tuesday. The Raiders girls track team won eight events and scored 147 points to win the five-team Logan County track and field meet on Tuesday afternoon.

BLUFFTON — The Ada tennis dropped just one game in singles play as the Bulldogs swept Bluffton 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon. Winning in singles action for the Bulldogs were Cade Mullins by a 6-0, 6-0 score over Drew Wilson, Isaac Spar by a 6-1, 6-0 decision over Mack Burner and Miranda Wills by 6-0, 6-0 scored over Jordan Siefker.

WAYNESFIELD — Hardin Northern scored multiple runs on all five innings it batted including eight in the first frame on the way to a 21-3 Northwest Central Conference softball win on Tuesdaty afternoon over Waynesfield-Goshen. Brenna Flowers and Peyton Pore both had big games at the plate for the Polar Bears.

LARUE — Elgin scored nine runs in the third inning to take an insurmountable lead and then crossed home plate 19 more times in the fourth frame on the way to a 30-0 five-inning win over Upper Scioto Valley in Northwest Central Conference softball action on Tuesday.
