Kenton, Wapak to meet in matchup of WBL unbeatens

Friday night promises to be a battle of the pass versus the run when Kenton travels to Wapakoneta to face the Redskins in a gridiron battle of teams unbeaten in the Western Buckeye League. The Wildcats, winners of three straight, are coming off a 42-14 homecoming victory over Defiance in week four in which they scored 35 straight points to break the game open.

Polar Bears, Perry to battle in early-season NWCC clash

It’s early in the Northwest Central Conference schedule, but Hardin Northern looks to keep its name atop the league football standings when the Polar Bears host Perry in their homecoming game on Friday. The Polar Bears, 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the NWCC, opened their league slate last week with the programs first win ever over Upper Scioto Valley.

Lady Raiders win sectional

VERSAILLES — The Ben Logan girls golf team finished first at the Southwest sectional tournament at Stillwater Valley Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon. Led by Sydney Wesson’s 84, the Raiders shot a team score of 363 to top second place Miami East, which shot a 397.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan middle school volleyball teams split a pair of matches with Graham on Wednesday night. The seventh grade Raiders won 25-13, 25-12. Mia Stahler served 5 aces and Makayla Williamson and Lexi Archer had 6 kills each to lead the Raiders. Delaney Miracle and Kearstin Linkinhoker each added a kill.

Pre-Sale tickets for this Friday’s Kenton at Wapakoneta football game will be on-sale in the high school office from noon-4 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Adults tickets are $6 and students tickets are $4. All tickets at the gate will be $7.
