RAWSON — The Ada volleyball team won two of its three matches to finish third at the Cory-Rawson Invitational on Saturday. The Bulldogs beat the host Hornets 25-20, 20-25, 25-18 in their first match.

VANDALIA — The Ben Logan volleyball team split a tri-match on Saturday, losing the first match to Bellbrook 25-23, 15-25, 25-23,25-18. In their second match, the Raiders topped host Butler in straight sets with scores of 25-13, 25-20, and 25-18.

WEST LIBERTY — Kenton had five of the top 30 runners to finish second of 10 teams with 80 points at the Ohio Caverns Invitational cross country meet on Saturday. Kierra Krohmer was fourh of 93 runners in a time of 20:49 to lead the way for the Lady Wildcats. She was followed by Callie Wright in 12th (22:30), Sammie Unger in 20th (23:00), Kylie Allmon in 21st (23:01), Kendyl Gibson in 27th (23:53) and Mryanda Archer was 52nd (26:18).

ADA — The Ohio Northern esports teams opened their inaugural seasons in impressive fashion, sweeping Muskingum 2-0 in Overwatch and 2-0 in League of Legends on Saturday in Great Lakes Esports League action. The Polar Bears are 1-0 overall and 1-0 in GLEC action in both games, while both Muskie teams fall to 0-1, 0-1.

GENOA — Riverdale took control with three goals in the final 13 minutes of the first half on the way to a 7-0 win over Genoa in boys soccer action on Saturday. Coby Miller netted three goals for the Falcons, who improve to 6-0-3 on the season.

ST. MARYS — St. Marys defeated Riverdale 2-0 in a no non-league girls high school soccer matchup on Saturday. The Roughriders got a goal from Lilly Ankerman nine minutes into the game and another one from Emma Wibbeler with 14 minutes left.

WILMINGTON — Ohio Northern rallied from a 35-17 third quarter deficit to take the lead, but Wilmington scored a touchdown with 28 seconds left to post a 42-38 football victory on a warm Saturday afternoon at Williams Stadium.

WEST LIBERTY — West Liberty-Salem defeated Ben Logan 1-0 in boys soccer action on Saturday. The Raiders fall to 4-4-2 on the season after their third straight loss.

The Kenton Middle School volleyball teams split a pair of matches with Indian Lake on Saturday. The seventh grade Wildcats won 25-17, 25-20, while the eighth grade team was defeated 25-18, 25-11. Individual statistics were not received.

After a somewhat sluggish start on both sides of the ball, Kenton found its football game in the second half on Friday night. Leading 14-7 at halftime, the Wildcats scored 28 straight points in the second half to put the game out of reach on the way to a 42-14 homecoming victory at Robinson Field.
