Minster limits USV to just 1 hit in district semifinal Posted on May 31, 2025 0 ELIDA — Minster limited Upper Scioto Valley to just one hit en route to a 13-0 five-inning win Thursday in a Division VII baseball district semifinal at Elida’s Ed Sandy Field. Top-seeded Minster scored twice in the first inning, four times in the second inning, five times in the third inning and twice in the fourth inning. Dylan Heitkamp tripled, doubled and singled as he drove in three runs for the Wildcats (21-6). The fourth-seeded Rams (9-9) struggled offensively as Caiden Lowery recorded a single for their only hit. USV’s Maddox Underwood suffered the loss on the mound, going three innings with five earned runs allowed. Jesse Prater threw one inning and gave up one earned run on two hits. Minster’s Caleb Couse was the winning pitcher as he struck out eight in four innings with just one hit allowed. Minster advances to face second-seeded Delphos St. John’s today at 2 p.m. at Elida.
