Students share projects Posted on May 15, 2025 0 Fifth grade students at Upper Scioto Valey, including (from left) Braylin Kabua and Greta Brooks, recently completed an exciting cross-curricular project that combined science, math, ELA and presentation skills. Each student researched an animal’s biome, habitat, diet and predators, then brought their creature to life by constructing a model zoo animal out of boxes. Using math skills, they calculated the volume of their creations, applying real-world measurement concepts. Students even got to visit the Columbus Zoo. To cap it off, students shared their projects and research with families and community members, turning the classroom into a vibrant, student-led zoo exhibit. Submitted photo
