Wolf Creek Art Center and the Hardin County Humane Society are offering another relaxing, fun Paint and Sip class on May 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Humane Society facility at 13510 U.S 68, Kenton. Refreshments will be provided.

May 3rd is designated as National Day of Prayer. You can keep this day simple by just saying a prayer on your own or you can go all out and attend events and pray with others as a group.

Kenton High School needs fair king and queen candidates for the 2018 Hardin County Fair. Candidates must be seniors at KHS during the 2018-2019 school year, reside in a Hardin County school district and be current members of FFA, 4-H, Farm Bureau youth, Grange, Scouts or enrolled in family and consumer sciences or art classes.

JoElla and Joel Shoda of Kenton are parents of a 6-pound, 14-ounce, 18.09-inch boy, Liam Frank, born at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital of Toledo. Grandparents are Kathy Baum of Kenton and the late Larry Baum, and Kevin Shoda of Fort Wayne and the late Tonya Shoda.

The Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center had a “Be Happy Day.” The seniors discussed what makes them happy and they ate rainbow sherbert.

President Sandra Moore welcomed six members and guest Mary Roby to the Hardin County Business and Professional Women’s Club on April 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Henry’s Restaurant. Following dinner, Chairman Charlotte Spencer introduced Mary Roby to speak about Angels for the Elderly.

NEW CONCORD - Garrett Bell of Ridgeway gave a research presentation during Muskingum University’s Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Week on campus. Bell presented The Prevalence of Video Game Play Among College Students & The Lack Desired Behavior.

The Hardin Hi-Lighters met Thursday, April 19 at the Greenwood Grange in Grant. Vice President Oliver Moore call the meeting to order. The 4-H pledge was led by Keegan McBride and the American pledge by Johannah Thacker.
