The Hardin County Republican Women held their September meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at the Republican Headquarters. The meeting was presided over by President, Merrillee Rogers, who called the meeting to order.

While the city of Kenton is new to Pastor David Robertson, it brings back memories from his time growing up in his hometown of Sharon, Pa. Robertson and his wife, Susan, have been in town since mid-August, and he began as pastor of Faith Baptist Church at the beginning of September.

The Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Kenton is holding a special service to honor the courageous men and women who protect our city and county as police officers, firefighters, and medical professionals. These first responders selflessly serve their fellow citizens every day and often put their lives in danger for others.

TLC Ministries will be holding revival services beginning Sunday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. with Evangelist Stephen Gentry of Edinburg, Ind. As a pastor, Gentry has dealt with the severe abuse of drugs and alcohol in his community and understands that only the “Preaching of the Cross” will make the difference.

The Epworth United Methodist Women met at the church on Sept. 15 with seven present. President Sandy Hamilton opened the meeting reading “Missing Autumn.”

The 1994 Riders met on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. with 10 members present. Meeting was called to order by President Harold Sexton and he presented the colors.

The Memorial Park Bridge Club met on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Pro Shop Annex. The hostess was Judy Faulkner and there were four tables in play.
