DOLA — Hardin Northern is projecting a reduction in property tax revenue in its new five-year forecast, but anticipates that will be made up by revenue from the Hog Creek Wind Farm. Treasurer Wes Potter outlined his projections for district income and expenses through fiscal year 2022 at the monthly school board meeting Wednesday night.

When law enforcement officers went to Ryan Cutlip’s Kenton apartment in November last year, they were expecting to arrest him on an outstanding warrant from Wyandot County. But when the officers entered Cutlip’s residence at 655 East St., Apt. 34, they discovered small amounts of cocaine and heroin.

DOLA — Concerns about the safety of the Hardin Northern baseball field continued to be raised at the school board meeting Wednesday night. Member Tim Roby questioned whether the mound of dirt in right field had been addressed by the contractor.

Workers from 2K General Co. of Delaware move ground in preparation to refurbishing the Ada swimming pool at War Memorial Park. According to Village Administrative Assistant Angela Polachek, the project will include replacing a portion of the pool, a new filtration system, the removal of the concession stand and updating the bath house.
