Rain delays work on HN athletic complex DOLA — Phase II of the Hardin Northern athletic complex has been slowed due to the rainy weather, Superintendent Jeff Price reported at the board of education meeting Wednesday night. Police reports: June 27, 2019 Officers were dispatched to 645 N. Wayne St. for a report of a theft of a $5 bill and around $15 in change from a motor vehicle. An officer observed a vehicle parked on N. Leighton Street near North Street that had not been moved for an extended period of time, well over 48 hours. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Lowery’s Towing. Prior to the vehicle being towed, the officer attempted to contact the owner at their residence but was unable to get a response. Read More

KCS board, teachers agree on new one-year contract The Kenton Board of Education and its teachers union have agreed to a new one-year contract. The board approved the pact during its regular meeting Tuesday night, which calls for teachers to receive a 1.5 percent pay increase for the 2019-2020 school year. Read More

KHS grad returns as athletic director A Kenton High School product is coming home to oversee the district’s athletics program. Brett Purcell, a 2003 graduate of KHS, was approved as the Kenton City Schools athletic director by the school board at its meeting Tuesday night.
