BELLEFONTAINE — Kenton Ridge outscored Ben Logan in each of the first three quarters on the way to a 75-55 victory over the Raiders in a Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball game on Saturday.

DAYTON — Macy Arn was second in the 200 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle to lead the Ben Logan girls swim team at the Kenton Ridge Invitational held at Wright State University on Saturday.

McGUFFEY — St. Marys outscored Upper Scioto Valley by five points in the fourth quarter and that proved to be the difference as the Roughriders pulled away for a 55-50 victory in non-conference boys basketball action on Saturday night.

MAUMEE — Monclova Christian outscored Hardin Northern in each of the first three quarters before holding off a late Polar Bear rally for a 75-69 boys basketball victory Saturday night. Zach Wilhelm lit up the nets for 37 points to lead the Polar Bears, who fall to 2-11 with their ninth straight loss.

TIFFIN — The Riverdale boys basketball team came back from an early deficit to close within two points of host Tiffin Calvert entering the fourth quarter on Saturday night. The Falcons could not sustain the momentum however as the host Senecas outscored them 20-7 over the final eight minutes to pull away for a 56-41 non-conference victory.

BELLEFONTAINE — Fairbanks outscored Ben Logan 22-16 in the second quarter to take control of the game on the way to a 72-44 victory over the Raiders in a non-league boys basketball contest on Saturday.

VAN WERT — Trailing Van Wert by two points at halftime and with their outside shots not falling, the Kenton Wildcats knew they had to do something different if they were going to pick up their first Western Buckeye League win of the season on Friday night.

McGUFFEY — The Upper Scioto Valley Rams narrowly averted a total collapse against Hardin Northern in boys basketball action Friday night. After taking a 28-6 first quarter lead in the inter-county contest, USV was out-scored 31-18 in the middle two quarters but managed to hold off the Polar Bears for the 60-44 Northwest Central Conference win.
