Kenton boys win Riverdale quad meet

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Kenton boys track team won the Riverdale quad meet Thursday, while the Kenton girls came in second. 

The boys outscored Riverdale 58-48. The Lady Wildcats were seven behind Riverdale with 47 points. 

Kenton’s Abi Temple was second in the 100-meter dash and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles. 

Kenton’s Delaney Buxton had the winning pole vault of 8-06 and the top 400-meter dash time. Leah Harder won the 800-meter. 

Kenton’s Addi Manns won the 3200-meter by exactly 26 seconds. 

The Kenton girls’ 4×400 and 4×800 relays won. The Wildcat boys’ 4×100 relay unit grabbed first as well. 

Kenton’s Colby Quay won the 100-meter dash, with Kooper Johnston taking third, Marlon Lopez seventh and Quinn Reffner eighth. 

Quay also had the best long jump at 19-00.00.

Kenton’s Aidan Wood raced to first in the 800-meter. Parker Rarey won the discus with a 146-01 and was second in shot put with a 45-01.00. Jayson Dyer won the 110- and the 300-meter hurdles. 

The Wildcats will compete in the Bath Invitational Thursday at 6 p.m.
