WILMINGTON — A 27-point third quarter helped the No. 14 Ohio Northern women's basketball team pull away for a 69-53 victory at Wilmington on Wednesday night. The Polar Bears improve to 17-3 overall and stay on top of the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 12-1 league mark, while the Quakers fall to 7-12, 4-9.

ADA — Nate Burger and Ryan Bruns led six Ohio Northern players in double figures in scoring with 16 points each in a 103-94 victory over Wilmington on Wednesday night. The Polar Bears improve to 9-11 overall and 6-7 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Quakers fall to 3-15, 2-11.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan swept Indian Lake and Riverside in a bowling tri-match Wednesday afternoon. The Raiders won with 2,640 pins. Indian Lake bowled a 2,324 and Riverside shot 2,213.

MARION — The Palace Cultural Arts Association will present the Bluegrass/Gospel band GRAIL in the Palace Theatre May Pavilion in Marion on Friday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Comprised of local musicians Micky Bloomfield (bass,vocals), Craig Schertzer (guitar, vocals), Bruce Seckel (guitar, vocals), and Vern Sizemore (banjo, vocals), the band will perform traditional and contemporary bluegrass and gospel along with their version of some nontraditionaltunes from other genres.

Follow the fictional story of a beauty pageant via The University of Findlay’s production of “Smile: The Musical,” to be staged on Wednesday through Sunday, Feb. 17-21. It will be performed at the John and Hester Powell Grimm Theatre in the Frank J. Egner Center for the Performing Arts.
