Old-fashioned craft Posted on December 13, 2021 0 Mrs. Schwartz’s second grade students at Hardin Northern Elementary have been learning about how things were different 100 years ago. They have read about school, transportation, and technology both “then” and “now”. The final activity was to make a poinsettia flower using an old-fashioned craft called quilling. The students used strips of paper and rolled them into shapes called tight rolled coil (cylinder) and open marquise (eye-shaped). They glued the shapes together to create a poinsettia ornament for the class Christmas tree.
