S.O.U.P. menu set for Jan. 22-26

There was a big turnout for the December S.O.U.P. Kitchen

The Hardin County S.O.U.P. Kitchen will be serving meals the week of Jan. 22-26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Christian Church, 340 N. Main St., Kenton.

The menu, which is subject to change, is as follows:

Monday, Jan. 22 – pizza, salad, chips and dessert

Tuesday, Jan. 23 – baked chicken tenders, french fries, green beans, bread/butter, fruit Jell-O and dessert.

Wednesday, Jan. 24 – pork chops, baked beans, corn hush puppies, pudding, bread/butter and dessert

Thursday, Jan. 25 – cube steaks, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, mixed fruit, bread/butter and dessert

Friday, Jan. 26 – smorgasboard 

Total number of individuals served in December – 691.

Our to-go meals may not always follow the menu.

The Ladies of the Catholic Church will be open all week for many items available from warm clothing, shoes, and hygiene items in the basement of St. Anthony’s.

The S.O.U.P. Kitchen’s  mission statement is to provide a safe, clean, uplifting environment for community members in need of food and fellowship.

Their vision is preserving food resources to support a hunger-free community
