BELLEFONTAINE – Mary Rutan Hospital on Wednesday broke ground for construction of the Mary Rutan Health Center. It will be located on the north side of Bellefontaine on land acquired in 2015 near the intersection of U.S. 33 and U.S. 68 North.

The 2016 annual financial report for the Hardin County Veterans Memorial Park District has been filed and is open to the public for viewing at the Hardin County Probate Court.

The Board of Hardin County Commissioners has called a special meeting for 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9 at the courthouse to reorganize for 2017 and to conduct any other business that may lawfully be considered.

The Hardin County Board of Elections will be closed on Jan. 11, 12 and 13 due to the board members, staff, director and deputy director attending the Ohio Association of Election Officials Conference in Columbus.

ADA — Councilman Jeff Oestreich was selected to continue his role as president of the Ada Village Council during its reorganizational meeting Tuesday evening. Meetings will continue to be held at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month in council chambers.
