FOREST – Perspective developers will have a new reason to consider the village of Forest for their projects. Council approved an ordinance Thursday which will establish a job creation incentive program.

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance along with the Hardin County Ambassadors will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at Petals and Pearls, 207 W. Franklin St., Kenton, on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 11:30 a.m.

DOLA — The Hardin Northern Board of Education will meet in special session on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the school computer lab. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the hiring of a social studies teacher and to consider a contract with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office to provide security at fall school events.

The August board meeting of the Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District will be on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m., at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Kenton. Future meetings will resume on the regular schedule of the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at the district office.
