Blake McElroy, owner of the Price-McElroy Funeral Homes in Kenton and Mount Victory, displays the new web page his business introduced this month. Visitors to pricefh.net will see a newly designed mobile-friendly web page where they can view updated obituaries, order flowers from local florists or light a candle in memory of a loved one.

Lisa Cahill, formerly of Hair Studio, stands at her new location, Southern Exposure Hair Salon, located at 220 S. Main St., Kenton, inside Soap Opera Laundromat. The salon is open seven days a week by appointment from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Kelli Bostelman, the former owner of Unique Boutique and Spalon, has now joined the team of “The Element Salon and Spa,” along with Marie Miller, Angie Flint and Judy Cross. Kelli has worked 22 years in the beauty industry, 14 years owning a salon, otherwise as an independent contractor.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place last week at Chris’s Country Cabin. Owner Chris Newland offers customers primitives, antique, home decorations and Swan Creek candles.

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, along with the Hardin County Ambassadors conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony recently at B&R Farms Feed and Stove LLC.

Alliance to sponsor annual Christmas basket auction with 29 colorful entries

Christmas Around the Square celebration is Saturday in the Hardin County Courthouse. Sponsored by the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, the craft fair features three floors filled with arts, crafts, and home party dealers. The Kenton Top Twenty will perform holiday music at 9:30 a.m. Homemade food is provided by the Hardin County Homemakers.
