A Forest man was sent to prison for nearly five years for his part in a September home invasion in Kenton. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Rick Kenneth Gault, 33, 125 W. Columbus St., Forest, pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated burglary and grand theft.

The Hardin County Recorder’s Office reported the following transactions for February:

Rene F. Castillo, Columbus – speeding 40 mph in a 35 mph zone, one prior offense, fined $45.

A former Allen East music teacher charged with crimes after he admittedly requested nude photos of a former male student was found guilty of four of the eight counts against him this morning in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

Brittany L. Long, Lima – speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25. Brian Lee Jung S. Hogue, 14014 TR 95, Kenton – speeding 51 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25.

A Kenton man was sentenced to local incarceration after he was found guilty of charges in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Kenneth Alan Styne, 721 S. Detroit St., Kenton, pleaded guilty to one count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

The trial of a man accused of attempting to have his wife killed and her home burned down was scheduled to begin today in Hardin County Common Pleas Court, but was continued to later in March during a hearing Tuesday. Gerrick Anthony Sheldon, 3010 CR 130 in Roundhead Township, is facing two charges of complicity in an attempt to commit aggravated murder, a felony of the first degree (F1).

Malgorzata T. Savage, Macomb, Mich. – speeding 57 mph in a 45 mph zone, fined $25.
