Judge Steve Christopher has released an account of transactions from the Probate Division of the Hardin County Court of Common Pleas for 2017. There were 202 marriage licenses granted with 90 wills filed and probated.

Christopher A. Fogt, Belle Center – speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, fined $25. Brandon M. Ramey, unknown address – speeding 48 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25.

A Kenton man was placed on five years of community control after pleading guilty to drug charges in the Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Joseph Clay Madison, 344 Kuert St., Kenton, pleaded guilty to one charge each of possession of drugs and possession of heroin.

From the beginning, the lines between the prosecution and defense in the Dennis Dellifield case were drawn. Hardin County Prosecutor Brad Bailey believes that during the two-day trial in Hardin County Common Pleas Court he presented enough evidence to convict the former Allen East music teacher of four felony counts of attempted obscenity involving a minor; two felony counts of attempted illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material and two misdemeanor counts of attempted illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented performance.

A second man has admitted to his part in a Kenton home invasion and assault which took place in late September. Rick Kenneth Gault, 33, of Forest, pleaded guilty at a pre-trail hearing Monday afternoon of charges of aggravated burglary, grand theft and two counts of felonious assault in the incident.

An Ada man facing sexual charges involving a minor has rejected a final offer in plea negotiations with the prosecutor’s office, opening the way for his trial to begin on Tuesday. Dennis Dellifield, 415 Willeke Avenue, Ada, is facing two charges each of attempted pandering obscenity involving a minor, a felony of the third degree; attempted pandering obscenity involving a minor (F5); attempted illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material (F3) and attempted illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material of performance, a misdemeanor in the first degree.

Hardin County Treasurer Denise Althauser said real estate tax bills are in the mail. The last day to pay the first half real estate tax in Hardin County without penalty is Wednesday, Feb. 14.
