The North Central Ohio Rehabilitation Center celebrated its 7th annual Volunteer Appreciation Day on May 10 honoring those community members that serves as mentors and area businesses that serve as community service sites.

The Benjamin Logan Agricultural Communications Team competed at state on April 30. The students placed fourth in the state.

Bret and Jacob McFadden of Ridgeway are parents of a 5.9-pound, 19-inch girl, Eisele Sean, born at 1:08 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Union County, Marysville. Nancy Beach, resident at Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center, enjoys a delightful afternoon at the Mother Daughter Tea. There was a great turnout and all were served ham or chicken salad on croissants, chips, and cheesecake, sweet tea and pink lemonade.

Older Americans Month is an annual event dating back to 1963 when President John F. Kennedy designated May as Senior Citizens Month, according to a release from the Area Agency of Aging in Lima. It was later renamed Older Americans Month, honoring older Americans and celebrating their contributions to our communities and our nation.
