The Kenton Lions Club met Wednesday, Jan. 6 at Henry’s Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. Eight members were in attendance.

LIMA —Sales of Girl Scout cookies are back, with a twist. In addition to the traditional methods of taking orders, they can be taken through a program called, “Digital Cookie.” The digital program is where a Girl Scout you know can invite you, via email, to purchase cookies online with a credit card through her personalized website.

Kroger Company had a store in Dunkirk. In the 1920s it was located on the west side of Main Street. It was moved in the early 1930s to the east side of Main Street where the library now stands.

“Gloria, the way it sounds we have another carry-in to plan,” Eunice said to me. We were sitting side by side on hay-bales on the trailer as we headed out for an evening of Christmas caroling. Eunice is on the food committee with me.

As I sit in my office I am drawn to the word "new." We use the word when we say, "It's a new year” or “It's a new day" or a "New week."

LIMA — The Lima Chapter of Aglow International will be holding its monthly meeting on Thursday, Jan. 14 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at WTLW TV 44 Christian TV station, 1844 Baty Road, Lima. The event will feature a call to prayer to begin the new year.

The Riverdale FFA chapter held a Discovery and Greenhand ceremony recently for their first- and second-year members. Their were 10 8th graders who earned their Discovery degree: Kayla Dement, Michael Greeno, Cameron Herringshaw, Caleb Letherwood, Josh Lentz, Caleb McCoy, Justin Messmer, Hunter Shane, Blake Vanderpool and Jazlynn Woodriff.
