SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Ohio Northern junior All-American Emily Richards advanced through the first round and into the semifinals of the women's 800-meter run at the 2017 United States Outdoor National Track & Field Championships at a blistering hot Hornet Stadium on Thursday afternoon on the campus of California State-Sacramento.

Chairs are turned into pieces of art through the hands of Harco Industries clients at the Kudo Studio in Kenton. They become Chairs of Hope to raise funds for Not By Choice Outreach, a local support group for cancer victims.

But for one Kenton family, Betty Joyce Collins and her sons, Rick, Rodney and Ryan, the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) has become an annual event and the number of family members participating continues to grow with 14 taking part in this year’s event.

The Kenton Area Swim Team defeated Shawnee in a rain-shortened meet on Monday night. The StingRay girls won 84-65, while the boys won 62-40 as just 19 events were completed before heavy rain set in and forced cancellation of the rest of the meet.
