MARYSVILLE — A Kenton couple faces drug charges in Union County after 91 balloons of heroin and other items were discovered inside the woman’s body. A Union County grand jury last week indicted Terry Amos Miller, 31 and his wife, Julie Anne Miller, 39, both of 121 N. Cherry St., Kenton, on one count each of trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence.

It didn’t take the Hardin County Common Pleas Court jury long to come up with a decision in the case against Gerrick Anthony “Tony” Sheldon on Tuesday. After deliberating for 2 1/2 hours, the jury returned a guilty verdict on 10 of the 11 counts against Sheldon, who was accused of recruiting his then 15-year-old son for a plot to kill his estranged wife and her son by burning their house down.

Prosecutors on Thursday attempted to put holes in Gerrick “Tony” Sheldon’s claims he was out looking for his son the morning he was stopped by Hardin County Sheriff’s deputies near his ex-wife’s residence as the son was turning him in for plotting to burn down her house.

Defense attorneys tried to poke holes in claims by the prosecution that the sons of a Harrod man accused of plotting to kill his estranged wife by conspiring to burn her house down had a relatively normal child-parent relationship with their stepmother in Hardin County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.

The siblings of a 16-year-old boy who turned his father into law enforcement for allegedly conspiring to burn down his estranged wife’s home last August, corroborated the boy’s story on Tuesday in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

A Hardin County teenager told a jury on Monday how his father plotted and attempted to carry out plans to burn down his stepmother’s rural Dunkirk home last August. During the opening day of a trial for Gerrick “Tony” Sheldon, Hardin County prosecutor Brad Bailey said if it would not have been for the quick thinking of his 16-year-old son Garrett, Tony Sheldon may have carried out a plan to burn down the County Road 60 residence of his estranged wife, Danielle, possibly killing her and another occupant inside the home.

A Kenton man was sent to prison for nine years after he pleaded guilty in Hardin County Common Pleas Court to being part of a group of men who invaded a Kenton home and beat the inhabitants. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Ashton Dale Mundy, 139 E. Railroad Street, pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated burglary and felonious assault with a firearm specification in the Sept. 28, 2017 invasion of Darrian Lease’s home on North Main Street.
