A Kenton man who authorities say was the leader of a group of five men who invaded a Kenton home in September was sent to prison for more than eight years earlier this week in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Peyton William George, 608 N. Main St., Kenton, pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary, two counts of felony assault and grand theft with a firearms specification.

A West Liberty man was sentenced to 90 days of local incarceration and five years of community control after he pleaded guilty to domestic violence in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Austin Tyler Eshelman also was fined $150 and ordered to perform 75 hours of community service by Judge Scott Barrett.

The cost of a passport will increase in April. According to information from Hardin County Clerk of Court Carrie Haudenschield’s office, the U.S. State Department has announced beginning April 2, the passport acceptance fee (also known as the execution fee) will go from $25 to $35.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — A former Riverdale teacher/coach was sent to prison for three years after admitting to a sexual involvement with a female student. According to a report from the Findlay Courier, Brooke Rosendale had been a fifth-grade intervention specialist at Riverdale.

Sean M. Buckley, Perrysburg – speeding 48 mph in a 3 5 mph zone, fined $25. Melinda K. Summit, 793 N. Market St., Kenton – speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone, amended to speeding 39 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $15.

A Forest man was sent to prison for nearly five years for his part in a September home invasion in Kenton. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Rick Kenneth Gault, 33, 125 W. Columbus St., Forest, pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated burglary and grand theft.
