MARION — The March entertainment lineup at the Marion Palace Theatre will include performances by Chicago tribute band Brass Transit, Celtic musicians Lone Raven and an Easter celebration with the local a cappella group NINE.

ADA – The Ohio Northern Symphony will present a concert, “Black History and Brahms” at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts at Ohio Northern University. The concert will be conducted by music director Travis Jürgens.

Awakened Commotion, Hardin Northern High School's pop a cappella singing group, has once again been chosen as a finalist to compete for cash prizes in the Ohio Has Talent competition. The 11th annual talent show will take place Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in VanWert.

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay Theatre Program will present the musical “Funny Girl” later this month. Featuring a 21-piece live orchestra, performances will be Feb. 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m., and Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. in the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.

LIMA — Crafton Beck will lead the Lima Symphony Orchestra in a glittering “Carnival of Colors” on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center, Lima. The orchestra will perform the wildly tragic and popular work Petrouchka by Igor Stravinksy as well as Richard Wagner’s mystical “Entrance of the Gods” from Das Rheingold.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University will host an instrumental concert featuring its Concert Band at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18 in Yoder Recital Hall. Under the direction of Dr. Roy Couch, assistant professor of music, the concert band will perform both original and arranged compositions.

MARION — Auditions for the Marion Palace Theatre’s mystery/comedy dinner theatre production, “You Have the Right to Remain Dead” will be held in the May Pavilion at the theater on Sunday, Feb. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.

ADA -- Soprano Chelsie Cree of Toledo will present a vocal recital at 7 p.m. on Feb. 4 in Presser Hall at Ohio Northern University. The concert is free and open to the public.

FINDLAY — Yamato: The Drummers of Japan, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5 at Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, Findlay. Yamato was founded in Japan’s Nara Prefecture in 1993.

FINDLAY — Junk Rock genre pioneers and America’s Got Talent finalists, Recycled Percussion, rocks Marathon Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 3 p.m. Justin Spencer formed Recycled Percussion in 1995, taking inspiration from New York street percussion.
