LIMA — Superstar vocal group Rascal Flatts, will bring its world-class singing talents to Lima on Aug. 27, 2016 when it headlines the Allen County Fair. Since their inception, the trio has helped change the face of popular music. Its trademark sound has made the band the standard bearers of cutting-edge country music.

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents a Jazz Ensemble concert, “Hot Jazz for a Cold Evening,” in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The Kenton High School Vocal Music Department will present “High School Musical” next weekend at the Kenton Middle School auditorium. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 12, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13.

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” featuring the ONU University Singers and the ONU Chamber Singers, at the First United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents “Gaudete: The It’s Not Quite Christmas Yet” concert, performed by the ONU wind and symphony orchestras, in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m.

The Hardin County Players will present A Christmas Carol as a live radio play during December. Performances are set for Thursday, Dec. 3 and Friday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m.; with matinees on Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. It will be staged in the upstairs ballroom at the Forbing Community Centre, 122 N. Main St., Kenton (next to the Armory).

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents a faculty recital featuring Summer Aebker, soprano, in the Snyder Recital Hall in Presser Hall on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

ADA — Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents the 21th annual ONU Holiday Spectacular from Thursday, Nov. 19 to Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a matinee performance on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m.
