People and places: August 31, 2019 Terrill Webb has joined the Hardin Wellness Center in Kenton as a physical therapist assistant. A 2013 Kenton High School graduate, she competed in four years of varsity soccer and track. Her accomplishments on the track came her junior and senior year where Webb was a state qualifier in the pole vault, 400 meter relay, 800 meter relay, and 1600 meter relay. Read More
Health Partners gets national quality award The Health Resources & Services Administration has named Health Partners of Western Ohio as a Gold Health Center Quality Leader – in the top 10% of the nation. Research at library to improve with new digital search system One of the most used services at the Mary Lou Johnson-Hardin County District Library in Kenton is the research department. Director Sam Norris said about 75 percent of the time the library is open, there are people using the microfilms and reference books to track down a family member, research the history of a local organization or just read some local history. Harco Industries to move to new home Harco Industries will be moving to a new home. The new building is the former Grace Fellowship Church at the corner of S. Main and Espy streets in Kenton, said Andrew Tudor, president of the Harco Industries Board of Trustees. Read More
Swine showmanship to kick off fair week on Monday The Hardin County Fair gets underway next week. While the fair officially runs from Tuesday through Sunday, activities get underway Monday evening with the junior fair swine showmanship competition in the show arena. Read More

Ex-fiscal officer of park district sent to jail for theft The former fiscal officer for the McDonald-Roundhead Joint Regional Park Board was sentenced to 20 days in jail after she admitted taking funds from the organization. According to Hardin County Common Pleas Court documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Jennifer Kathleen Henkle, 17958 Main St., Roundhead, pleaded guilty to one count each of grand theft, tampering with records and attempted theft in office.
