For the past 28 years, the nurses and staff at Hardin County Hospice have assisted grieving families as they faced the final days of their loved ones’ lives. Now they find themselves going through the grieving process for their agency as they pack up records and close down the office for their impending closing.

FOREST — Twelve homeowners in Forest have been notified their yards need mowed and have failed to respond. Village Administrator Wes Davis told council at its meeting Thursday the property owners were given a deadline of cutting their weeds and grass and didn’t comply with the request sent by the village.

MOUNT VICTORY — Entertainment and vendors will be a part of “Saturdays in the Park” in Mount Victory, a project of the Mount Victory Shopkeepers Group.

There has been much progress made this school year in addressing the training of students to enter the work force. Those first steps will be taking a leap when classes throughout Hardin County start next fall.

McGUFFEY — The students at Upper Scioto Valley were encouraged to seek out individuals who will give them positive guidance in their lives. The advice was offered by a former Ohio State University basketball standout who has devoted himself to the spiritual part of his life.
