The Riverdale FFA would like to apply for a $10,000 grant through the America's Farmers Grow Rural Education program for implementing and sustaining a hoop greenhouse.

A check from Hancock County put the United Way of Hardin County over its goal for 2015. At the United Way’s annual meeting this morning at St. John’s Evangelical Church, it was first reported that the organization fell just 2 percent short of its $215,000 goal.
