USV on board with program to ready students for future jobs

McGUFFEY — Area educators and business leaders met Tuesday morning at Upper Scioto Valley Schools to discuss how best to establish a program which will ready high school students to enter the manufacturing world. Administrators from USV, Indian Lake and Fairlawn were joined by representatives from Honda Transmissions, Rhodes State College and the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center to brainstorm ideas for the program.

Severe weather spotter training set in Kenton

Area residents are invited to register for severe weather spotter training, set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at the Jacob Parrott Safety Center, 1025 S. Main St., Kenton. The training will be conducted by a representative from the NOAA National Weather Service in Wilmington, and hosted by the Hardin County Emergency Management Agency.
