An on-station report was received of harassment via cell phone and Facebook by a known suspect. The officer issued charges of telecommunications harassment to Tammi R. Fox, 1255 W. North St., and has yet to locate Fox to present her with the citation.

Kenton City Schools could see extra revenue from expired tax

Kenton City Schools thought the $492,000 it received this year was its final reimbursement for the tangible personal property tax program eliminated by the state several years ago. However, a compromise plan being put together by Ohio lawmakers would reduce but extend the reimbursement for another two years, Treasurer Tracy Hiller reported at Monday’s board of education meeting.

McGUFFEY — The Upper Scioto Valley School District is hoping to secure a grant which will allow students to leave their school career with an advantage in the marketplace. Superintendent Dennis Recker said he has applied for a Straight A Grant to establish a Certified Vision program.
