Zane Buxton, age five, recently won the 42.4 pounds at the MVKHA championships at the Nutter Center. Buxton, from Ada, finished his season with a 16-6 record, recording 19 near falls, 34 takedowns, 15 reversals, 5 escapes and 12 pins.

With so many Hardin County residents answering “yes” to the question of “Would you like to be an organ donor?” between 2015 and 2016, the Kenton Deputy Registrar location has been recognized as District 4’s most improved in donor registration.

The Kenton Middle School Dimensions will present its annual spring showcase “We Stand For Music” this weekend at the school’s auditorium. The production is slated for Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Several members of the Riverdale School District changed their TV viewing habits last Thursday to see the local team compete for the championship of a scholastic tournament. They saw two sets of brothers and their friend complete a victory over a 32-team field from throughout northwest Ohio in the WBGU-TV Brain Game finals with a win over Lake High School.

Familiar characters will share the story of “The Wizard of Oz” this weekend at Hardin Northern High School. The production is slated for Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale won all but four events as the Falcon boys and girls swept a tri-meet with Liberty-Benton and Arcadia on Monday afternoon. The Riverdale boys scored 100 points, while Liberty-Benton was second with 35 and Arcadia was third with 28.

RIDGEWAY — The Ridgemont softball team were up to the challenge on Monday afternoon. After Delaware Christian scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning to take the lead, the Gophers responded with a run in the bottom half of the frame to tie the game and then plated two more runs in the sixth to earn a 5-3 win in the non-league contest.
