Residents at Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center enjoy a birthday party with Happy Daz Entertainment, Libby Wolgamot, activity director, sang karaoke for the residents as well. They were all served punch and cupcakes.

Hardin Hills Health and Rehab’s activity director Libby Wolgamot exercises with the residents on Monday mornings. Many residents are participating and names go on board and at the end of the month the resident with the most attendance wins a gift such as a healthy snack or an exercise-related prize.

For 50 years, the United Way of Hardin County has improved the quality of life for its residents. It has collected donations for scouting organizations, for the local YMCA and for several assistance organizations to make sure those in need have food and clothing.

MARYSVILLE — The North Central Ohio Solid Waste District and Union Recyclers has purchased a new recycling truck for use at mobile recycling access sites in Champaign, Hardin, Madison and Union counties.

On Saturday, Aug. 13, at the annual Ada Farmers and Merchants Picnic, members of the Ada Kiwanis Club assisted with the pedal tractor pull.

The Kenton Lions Club met Wednesday, Aug. 17 at Henry's Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. Twelve members and four guests were in attendance, including Lion OH-1 District Governor Sheryl Burnette.

ADA — Noah Pinkney netted three goals and Logan Williams and Christopher Reyes added two goals each as Ada cruised to a 9-3 win over Miller City in a non-league soccer game Monday night.

FOREST — For some Forest residents, the war on drugs seems like a problem in the larger cities. But the officers of the local police department dispelled that myth at a town meeting Monday night at Gormley Park.

Eight area residents are starting classes today at The Ohio State University with the help of scholarships through the Hardin County OSU Alumni Association.

The Kenton Garden Club met Tuesday, Aug. 16 at the home of Jill Simmons in Ada. Prior to the meeting, the group went to the Ada Depot where Monte Siekerman, a Master Gardner, conducted a tour of the garden and depot.
