Linda and Rodney Hensel are the winners of an Outstanding Beautification Award for June from Keep Hardin County Beautiful. The Hensels bought this property 35 years ago in 1980.

Dave Wedertz took the top spot in the Trophy Bassmasters recent tournament on the Detroit River in Michigan. Wedertz caught five bass, weighing 17.57 pounds, including the a 5.36-pound smallmouth that was the big bass of the day.

Wyatt Gerlach and Camden Hicks, both from Kenton, recently participated in the Elks state soccer Shoot-out in Coshocton.

Bailey Wagner got a new appreciation for family life thousands of miles away from her own family. It happened while Wagner, a rural Kenton resident and 2014 Ridgemont High School graduate, participated in a study abroad trip to Honduras earlier this summer.

The Keep Hardin County Beautiful has named Jolene and Buck Buchenroth as June beautification award winners. The Buchenroth property in rural Kenton was originally all woods 14 years ago (2002).
