Hardin County Junior Grange met on June 18 at McDonald Grange Hall. The juniors made plastic cup patriotic wind socks. A discussion was held about the United States flag, the importance of flag etiquette and how to properly fold the flag. Everyone was given the chance to fold the flag.

Former Ada coach takes on new challenge

One thing that cannot be questioned about former Ada football coach Mike Fell is that he likes a challenge. The bigger the challenge, the better. Fell took over an Ada program that had struggled for nearly two decades before leading the Bulldogs to the playoffs in each of his seven season at the helm.

ADA — The Ada Village Council was paid a visit by Georgian government officials at its meeting on Tuesday, but not those in the U.S. state. Council was visited by the chair and deputy chair of the city council of Rustavi, Georgia, a city located in the Eurasian country bordered by Russia, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Black Sea.

Celebrating the Fourth

Above, the sky over the Hardin County Fairgrounds was filled with color Monday night as the annual Fourth of July fireworks display entertained area residents. The 22-minute show featured over 1,100 shells including 800 in the grand finale, which lasted nearly two minutes. Below, About 17 volunteers spent the day setting up the display.
