Elgin bests USV softball, 13-2

McGUFFEY — Elgin plated five runs in both the third and fifth innings on the way to a 13-2 softball win over Upper Scioto Valley on Tuesday night. Kenz Corbin had three hits with a double, a triple and four RBIs to lead the Comets, who led 2-1 before taking control of the game in the third inning.

Purtee has 5 RBIs as Wildcats outslug Elida

Alivia Purtee stayed hot at the plate knocking in five runs on a home run and two doubles to lead the Kenton softball team to a 14-3 victory over Elida in Western Buckeye League softball action on Monday. Jenna Clum added three hits with a double and two RBIs and Jasmine Reisiner had a pair of hits with two RBIs as Kenton scored three runs in both the first and second innings and four in both the third and fourth innings

Polar Bears smash P-G

PANDORA — Hardin Northern scored 15 runs in the first inning and cruised the rest of the way in a 30-0 softball win over Pandora-Gilboa on Monday afternoon. Eleven Polar Bears had RBIs in the game led by Quinn Stewart-Evans, who had two hits and five RBIs and Madison Robson, who had four hits including a triple, a double and three RBIs.
