BL baseball get 7-2 win

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan pitcher Cole Waugh tossed a one-hitter as the Raiders defeated Bellefontaine 7-2 in a non-league baseball game on Tuesday afternoon. The Raiders jumped ahead 1-0 in the top of the first inning before adding two more in the third inning, one in the fifth and three in the sixth.

Wildcats fall to Celina, 4-1

CELINA — Celina pitcher Reid Harter tossed a three-hitter as the Bulldogs defeated Kenton 4-1 in Western Buckeye League baseball action on Tuesday afternoon. The host Bulldogs gained the upperhand with two runs in the first inning.

Ada blasts three HRs in rout of Waynesfield

WAYNESFIELD — Sydney Newland had a home run and five RBIs to lead the way as Ada ripped Waynesfield-Goshen 17-5 in a non-league softball matchup on Tuesday. The Bulldogs took control early scoring four runs in the first and one in each of the next three innings before putting the game away with five runs in both the fourth and fifth inning.

Bulldogs beat W-G for 2nd win of the season

WAYNESFIELD — Ada took advantage of 10 walks by Waynesfield-Goshen’s pitchers on the way to a 7-2 non-league baseball win over the Tigers on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs led 3-2 after three innings before plating two runs in the fourth inning and putting the game out of reach with two more in the seventh.

Celina sweeps KHS tennis

Celina defeated Kenton 5-0 in a Western Buckeye League tennis match on Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats were most competitive in doubles play as their top pairing of Hayden Robinson and Taj Chahal was defeated by Celina’s Garrett Forlow and Schaib Saleem 6-2, 6-4.

KHS girls 2nd in tri-meet

CALEDONIA — The Kenton girls track team finished second, while the Wildcat boys were third in a tri-meet with River Valley and Heath on Tuesday night. River Valley won the girls meet with 84 points, followed by Kenton with 56 and Heath with 33.

Allen East outhits Ada

HARROD — Allen East took advantage of seven Ada errors to pull away for a 12-1 five-inning win over the Bulldogs in a Northwest Conference baseball game on Monday afternoon. The host Mustangs plated three runs in the first inning and two in the second before putting the game out of reach with a three-run fourth frame.
