BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan Middle School girls basketball teams advanced in the first round of Central Buckeye Conference tournament play on Monday night. The seventh grade Raiders rallied from a 15-10 halftime deficit to defeat Graham 28-19.

Bulldogs’ Sumner claims fourth straight NWC crown

ADA — Chase Sumner went into Saturday’s Northwest Conference wrestling tournament with the goal of becoming Ada’s first four-time league champion. The Ada senior didn’t have any problems attaining that feat as he breezed through the competition at 145 pounds, winning all four of his matches in the round-robin format tournament to take the top spot on the podium.

Arn leads BL swimmers

DELAWARE — Ben Logan swimmers competed at Ohio Wesleyan University in a double/triple dual meet on Saturday. The Raider boys won against Groveport Madison 60-36 and Buckeye Valley 57-42, before falling to Delaware Hayes 121-12.

Lady Riaders cruise to win over Urbana

URBANA — Nikki Current netted 28 points and 7 steals to lead Ben Logan to an 81-40 victory over Urbana in a Central Buckeye League girls basketball game on Saturday. The Raiders, 15-6 overall and 9-3 in the CBC, were in control the entire game as they jumped ahead 24-7 after eight minutes and 44-18 by halftime before putting the game away with a 22-9 advantage in the third quarter.

Allen East pulls away from Lady Rams

McGUFFEY — Allen East broke open a close game in the second half, pulling away in the final 16 minutes for a 52-39 victory over Upper Scioto Valley in non-league girls basketball action on Saturday. Trailing 24-22 at halftime, the Mustangs outscored the Rams 15-7 in the third quarter and 15-8 in the fourth quarter.

Miller City rips Falcons

MILLER CITY —Miller City took control from the start on the way to a 73-28 victory over Riverdale in non-league boys basketball action on Saturday night. The host Wildcats jumped ahead 25-11 after eight minutes and 38-20 at halftime before putting the game out of reach with an 18-4 third quarter advantage.

Bullimore paces ONU women in win

ADA — Amy Bullimore recorded her 13th double-double of the season to lead the Ohio Northern women's basketball team to a 70-36 victory over visiting Muskingum at the ONU Sports Center on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears improve to 19-2 overall and remain atop the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 13-1 record, while the Muskies drop to 6-15, 2-12.
