Ada, KHS swimmer split dual

Nearing the finish

The Ada and Kenton swim teams split a dual match at the Hardin County YMCA on Tuesday night. Led by Klava Katayama’s two first place efforts, the Ada girls won seven events on the way to a 97-64 victory, while the Wildcat boys, led by Landon Bartlett and Garrett Thomas’ two firsts, won six events on the way to a 92-53 win.

ADA — Upper Scioto Valley’s Kaycee Carroll netted 26 points to lead the way as the Rams pulled away for a 68-52 victory over backyard rival Ada on Tuesday night. The Rams, who improve to 4-13 on the season, jumped ahead 19-12 after eight minutes and 35-23 by halftime before putting the game out of reach with an 18-13 advantage in the third quarter.

Lady Falcons fly past Calvert

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale got off to a fast start, outscoring Tiffin Calvert by 21 points in the first half, on the way to a 55-30 non-conference girls basketball win on Tuesday night. The Falcons, who led 20-6 after eight minutes and 34-13 at halftime, pushed their lead to 51-20 after three quarters before coasting to the win.

Ben Logan falls short against Kenton Ridge

BELLEFONTAINE — Kenton Ridge took a nine-point halftime lead and then held off host Ben Logan in the second half for a 57-53 Central Buckeye Conference victory on Tuesday night. The Raiders, who fell behind 11-7 after eight minutes and 31-22 at halftime before outscoring the Cougars 20-15 in the third eight minutes, drop to 6-12 overall and 2-7 in CBC action.

Struggles continue for HN girls

DOLA — North Baltimore outscored Hardin Northern in each of the first three quarters on the way to a 53-24 victory over the Lady Polar Bears in a non-league contest on Tuesday. The visiting Tigers jumped ahead 16-2 after eight minutes and 29-9 by halftime before putting the game away with a 16-7 advantage in the third quarter.

Lady Raiders outshoot Graham for 4th straight Mad River title

ST. PARIS — The Ben Logan girls basketball team clinched its fourth straight outright Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division championship with an 86-40 win over Graham on Monday night. The Raiders, led by a 31-point effort by Nikki Current, wasted little time taking control as they led 24-12 after eight minutes and 46-22 at halftime.
