ADA — Led by senior Amy Bullimore’s team-high 20 points, 12 rebounds and three steals, the No. 10 ranked Ohio Northern Polar Bears controlled the paint on both ends of the court in Wednesday night’s game against Wilmington. The Polar Bears allowed just two buckets from inside the arc in the first half while hitting 12 of their own, helping them on their way to a 71-48 Ohio Athletic Conference victory.

The Trophy Bassmasters held their annual year-end awards banquet recently at The Plaza Inn in Mt. Victory. Completing a dominate season and winning the top honor of Angler of the Year was John Clark.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan girls basketball team won its 11th straight contest and clinched at least a share of the Central Buckeye Conference’s Mad River Division crown with a 62-21 victory over visiting Indian Lake on Wednesday night.

WILMINGTON — Ryan Bruns became the 38th member of Ohio Northern's 1,000-Point Club, but the Polar Bears fell to Wilmington 95-77 in Ohio Athletic Conference action Wednesday night. Bruns, a junior, scored 28 points in the contest, giving him 1,013 in just 67 games.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan bowling teams swept Indian Lake on Tuesday night. The Raider boys won 2,338-2,044.

RIDGEWAY — Ridgemont’s eighth grade boys basketball team defeated Crestline 52-26 in a middle school girls basketball game on Wednesday. Mason Stuck led the Gophers with 17 points, while Landon Newland added 16 and Grant Reppart added 9.

Falling behind to state-ranked Liberty-Benton by as many as 22 points in the first half and looking at an 18-point deficit at halftime, win or lose, Kenton coach Ryan Miller wanted to see his Lady Wildcats play with more intensity during the second 16 minutes of Tuesday night’s non-league contest.

ADA — Trailing by one late in the fourth quarter, Ada surrendered back-to-back three-pointers to Arlington, creating a seven-point deficit with just under three minutes to go. The Bulldogs were forced to start fouling but couldn’t catch up to the Red Devils, suffering a 57-47 non-conference boys basketball loss on Tuesday night.

RAWSON — The Kenton Youth Wrestling Team competed at Cory-Rawson on Sunday, wrestling teams from Ottawa-Glandorf, Lima City Schools, Delphos Tri-County, Bluffton, Elida, Allen East, Lima Shawnee, Ada and Lima Central Catholic.

SPRINGFIELD — The Benjamin Logan seventh grade girls basketball team defeated Springfield Northwestern 29-19 Monday night. It was the Raiders 12th straight win as they improved to 12-1 on the season.
