Falcons take advantage of Rams miscues

The Falcons took a 2-0 lead against the wind off a pair of handballs in the first half, and held possession in their opponent’s half for much of the second in a 3-1 victory over Upper Sandusky on Saturday.

Williams runs for over 400 yards in ONU win

ADA — Sophomore Christiaan Williams ran for a school record 407 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Ohio Northern football team to a 51-21 victory over Capital on a rainy, windy Saturday night at Dial-Roberson Stadium. The Polar Bears improve to 3-2 overall and are 2-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Crusaders fall to 1-4, 1-3.

Mendez’s goal lifts Lady Wildcats to win

BELLEFONTAINE — Jazmine Mendez scored the only goal of the game late in the first half as the Kenton girls soccer team defeated Bellefontaine 1-0 in a non-league contest on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats improve to 6-5-3. Kenton travels to Bath on Tuesday for its final Western Buckeye League contest of the season.

Henman, Warne lead Raiders at Anna

ANNA — The Ben Logan girls cross country team was 21st of 25 teams with 520 points at the Anna Invitational on Saturday. Leading the Raiders was Erica Warnes, who covered the 3.1-mile course in 24:39 to place 96th in the field of 214 runners.
