ONU women’s soccer to host NCAA tourney game

ADA — The No. 13-ranked Ohio Northern women's soccer team will host Penn St.-Behrend in the first round of the NCAA Div. III Tournament at Kerscher Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Polar Bears (17-1-2 overall) earned an automatic bid to the tournament after winning their second Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament title in school history under 14th-year head coach Mark Batman.

Polar Bear spikers to face DePauw in DII tournament

ADA — The No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team will travel to Westerville and face DePauw (Ind.) in the first round of the 64-team NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday. The Polar Bears (27-5 overall) earned an at-large bid after winning a share of the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title and reaching the finals of the OAC Tournament on Saturday under 27th-year head coach Kate Witte.

ONU holds off Wilmington

WILMINGTON — Ohio Northern scored on its first six possessions and led 42-12 at halftime, then held off a furious rally to hang on for a 49-45 Ohio Athletic Conference football victory at Wilmington Saturday afternoon at Williams Stadium. The Quakers (2-7overall, 1-7 OAC) scored on their last six possessions to get within four points with 1:21 to play in the game.

Cool temperatures greeted participants as they get ready for the start of the first Hardin Northern Athletic Boosters 5K run on Saturday morning. Around 35 participants competed in the race.

Otterbein spikes ONU in OAC tournament finals

WESTERVILLE — The No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team fell 25-17, 25-18, 25-17 to Otterbein on Saturday afternoon during the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament championship match in Westerville. The No. 2-seeded Polar Bears fall to 27-5 overall, while the No. 1-seeded Cardinals move to 29-3.
