BELLEFONTAINE — The Upper Scioto Valley golf team defeated Calvary Christian 188-237 at Cherokee Hills Golf Course on Monday afternoon. Brady Hipsher carded a 41 to lead the Rams, while Tyler Gratz, Dylan Thompson and Kaden Parker all added 49s.

BELLEFONTAINE — Springfield Shawnee defeated Ben Logan 166-182 in a Central Buckeye Conference match on Monday afternoon. Ethan Ricketts led the Raiders with a 41.

ST. PARIS — The Ben Logan girls cross country team was fourth at the Graham Invitational on Saturday with 80 points. Leading the Raiders was Erica Warne who covered the 3.1-mile course in 24:00 to place 18th in a field of 52 runners

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan Middle School volleyball teams split a pair of matches with Northridge on Monday night. The seventh grade Raiders won 25-19, 18-25, 25-21.

ADA — The Ohio Northern defense had trouble containing the big play against Heidelberg on Saturday, giving up two scores of 30-plus yards on its way to a 40-21 Ohio Athletic Conference loss. “Give them credit for capitalizing on big plays,” Ohio Northern coach Dean Paul said. “I think we just missed too many opportunities to beat a good football team.”

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan volleyball team defeated Riverside in three games 25-16, 26-24, 25-14 on Saturday. Sarah Van Dyke recorded 12 kills and had 6 blocks and Stanleigh Archer had 13 kills, 3 aces serving, 8 digs and 2 blocks to lead the Raiders.

CONTINENTAL — The host Pirates scored all three of their goals in the first half on the way to a 3-1 win over Riverdale in a non-league soccer game on Saturday. Jackson Clark had Riverdale’s goal off an assist from Coby Miller just over a minute into the second half.

OTTAWA — The Kenton girls cross country team was ninth of 18 schools in the Blue Division at the Ottawa-Glandorf Blue/Gold Invitational on Saturday. Sammie Unger was 16th of 134 runners in a time of 21:53.1 to lead the Lady Wildcats.

The Ben Logan seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams won a tri-match with Kenton and Northridge on Saturday.
